The Hales have a reputation of being the best mechanic shop all through Beacon Hills, until a big name rival, Argent Motors, moves down the street. 

“We have better deals,” Derek grunts, but it sounds too defensive even to his own ears.

Allison hums and runs her hand along the hood of the car he’s working on, a softness to her touch that makes his throat tighten. “Huh,” She says as she straightens up, “I guess you really do get what you pay for.”

Derek doesn’t know what to be more outraged by; the comment, or the wink she gives him as she leaves his garage.
